The Stefan Banach NAWA Programme is a scholarship programme jointly implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) as part of the Polish development cooperation programme.
The Programme aims to support the socio-economic development of developing countries by raising the level of knowledge and education of their citizens. It offers scholarships for second-cycle (Master’s) studies in Polish or English at Polish universities supervised by the Minister of Science and Higher Education.
The programme is addressed to citizens of 36 countries covered by Polish Aid, including countries from Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Eligible countries include: Albania, Angola, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Montenegro, Philippines, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kosovo, Lebanon, North Macedonia, Mexico, Moldova, Mongolia, Nigeria, Palestine, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Rwanda, Senegal, Serbia, Tanzania, Tunisia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam.
As part of the Programme, applicants may apply for:
- second-cycle (Master’s) studies starting in the academic year 2026/2027,
- a preparatory course preceding second-cycle studies, followed by studies starting in the academic year 2027/2028.
The scholarship includes:
- a monthly stipend,
- exemption from tuition fees at public universities or for the preparatory course,
- a travel allowance to Poland.
